The highlight of Holly’s week-long adventure was a visit to Reschio, a 1,500-hectare private estate straddling the border of Umbria and Tuscany. Culinary pleasures abounded as well. At Ristorante Alle Scuderie, beside the stables, Holly enjoyed a leisurely lunch on a sun-dappled terrace. Antipasti, primi, and secondi, all crafted with estate ingredients, were paired with Reschio’s own wine and finished with an irresistible dolce.

Beyond the Castello, the estate stretches further into the wilderness, where seven secluded private homes each feature their own pool and the option of full hotel amenities.
